1. Advantages.
Mohamed : Advantages

Hedley waited for our response to that word
Abdulla said that the percentage of late and absentees will become less
Ayoob: Abdulla agreed and students won’t come untidy
Hedley smiled and said that’s true , all of them will wear nice clothes

2. Disadvantages
There are some disadvantages, Mohamed said that group work won’t work!
Ayoob: yes but we can do more group work and this was a solution
Mohamed replied let’s focus on the disadvantages and we’ll talk about the solution laterAbdulla mentioned that the flirting percentage will increase
Hedley suggested to put some strict rules which is in our solution already
         3. Classes

Classes seems to be small said the chairman!
Hedley said how?
We said that there are not enough classes (exam halls); and what would happen later on with more students in each class?
Class rooms are a bit too small for us now

4. Communications

Mohammed made this point and said communication is something important but with mixed classes it will be hard to manage
Ayoob said students are going to be shy and Abdulla agreed because it’s obvious each gender is not used to dealing with the other gender and that’s the big deal.

5. Solutions
As Ayoob mentioned group work will help in solving the problem and here are some things he said

1-       Group work  - communication
2-      Strict rules     - flirting
3-      More classes
4-      Bigger classes
5-      More parking area

Reflection

I am Mohammed Abbas; I was responsible for this meeting. The meeting was about the possibility of integrating genders in the college. I expect that I was able to lead the meeting in a good way.

However, at this meeting we talked about the four key points. The points are : advantages and disadvantages, classes and solutions. At first we talked about the advantages of the merger, and both Abdullah and Ayoob said many of the ideas. For example, absenteeism would be reduced. In the second point we talked about the negative aspects of integration of students. The most important point is that the students will be less because of modesty. Intervention of Mr. Hedley who expressed his opinion, and asked a few questions that were answered by Ayoob and Abdullah. After that we talked about classes. In the end, we have some solutions to the problems that we faced in the meeting and that lie ahead if we apply the gender integration in the colleges. As in charge of this meeting, I see that everyone has to participate in this meeting. In general the meeting was excellent.
